Almost there
Eric,
I feel like we are "almost there" on alot of things lately.
- I am almost done with my class this semester, which will open up ALOT of free time which I am very grateful for.
- Summer seems like it is almost here, which I am glad for because the weather is awesome these days. Not hot, not cold, although pollen EVERYWHERE. My purple car is now yellow for a few weeks, and your poor allergies have taken a beating. It was funny when we took Tai outside for some fresh air this past weekend and as he laid on more stuff (the patio, the table, the grass), he got more and more yellow.
- You are getting laser eye surgery on Tuesday. It scares me a little that you are getting surgery on your eyes, but I know the success rate is really good and I can only imagine how awesome it will be for you to have good vision without having to do anything.
- You got to the last round of interviews with the Apex fire dept. and although you may not get one of the open positions, based on your description of the last interview, it may be for the best. Seems like Morrisville is very close to opening up some positions that may be a better fit, but still waiting to see what happens with both.
- As far as wedding stuff, I think we are starting the phase of "medium size" details. We got a contract for a DJ which was our last major thing, but haven't really gotten the ball rolling that fast on some of the medium size details. We do have pre-marriage counseling lined up, but haven't started that. I've talked with Leslie about invitations, but haven't gotten any design ideas back yet. Have talked with my mom about what we plan to do for some things (gifts, dress alterations, decorations, etc) but haven't actually done any of them yet. The list keeps going... I'll spare you... but we'll get there :)
I want to say that I throughly enjoyed our Easter sunday this year. It was also your birthday (big 27, you are now currently only 1 year younger than me... yay!). It is probably the first time (maybe ever??) that I haven't been home for easter which is kinda sad for me in a way, but you made up for it and I wouldn't have missed your birthday if I had any choice in the matter. We did an 8.5 mile bike ride to your parents through the neighborhoods and Lake Lynn park, ate a late lunch and visited with your grandparents, and then rode the 8.5 miles back. The weather was perfect for a bike ride and I really love exploring like that with you. Didn't find any more shacks we can hide out in if the economy really goes in the potty, but I don't think the one we found is going anywhere soon :)
All my love,
Sarah
