Whirlwind
Eric,
The past week or two has definitely been a whirlwind of wedding planning. We finally got the fire hall reserved which was a relief after waiting for so long. Current stress of the day is whether or not there will be any hotel rooms available within a 30 mile radius of Madison on that weekend. Currently not looking good... But overall we are on a roll now with alot of things. Even though the wedding won't be exactly what we thought originally, I know it will be fun and unique and memorable.
Right now you are driving back from PA from visiting your MomMom. Even though it was a long drive by yourself for such a short visit, and I missed you alot more just knowing you weren't 10 minutes away, I am glad you went. I wish I could have gotten to know her more in her younger days, but I am thankful I can at least say I've met her and spent some time talking with her. I wish you could have had that same opportunity with my grandparents who are no longer living. You probably wouldn't have understood a word Daddy Bob (mom's dad) said, and I would just sit back and watch the 2 of you try to have a conversation, but he is alot like your Grandpop. My Grandma (dad's mom) would have wanted to know all about your Red Cross adventures. I wish I had known earlier about her involvement with Red Cross so I could have found out more of what she did. My granddaddy (dad's dad) would have had endless stories to tell you, and could have told you more about Uncle Lindsay.
I am thankful that you have gotten to meet my Grandma (mom's mom). She is quiet most times when you around and you claim to not understand her Southern accent most of the time either. But she and I are alike in many ways, and I'm grateful that she is able to get to know you.
All my love,
Sarah
